Alexander Walden age 79 of Hastings, passed away October 20, 2014 at the Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland, Michigan.
Alexander was born on February 12, 1935 in Dearborn, Michigan, the son of John E. and Pauline (Collins) Walden. He attended Clinton School. Alexander married Beverley Kreds on October 20, 1952.
He was a farmer and a mechanic. Alexander worked for the Barry County Road Commission, retiring in August of 1986. He enjoyed farming, fixing machinery and spending time with his family.
Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline Walden, three brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverley Walden and four sons: Mark (Heidi) Walden of Lexington, KY, Danny (Lynda) Walden of Dowling, MI, Randy (Barbara) Walden of Carson City, NV, Terry (Geraldine) Walden of Nashville, MI, 6 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 4 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Barry County Commission on Aging, 320 W. Woodlawn Ave., Hastings, MI 49058 or a charity of one's choice.
Respecting Alexander's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
