Alice Jean Clark

Alice Jean Clark, age 89 of Hastings, passed away on July 2, 2019.

Alice was born on November 12, 1929 in Hurricane, West Virginia, the daughter of Dewey and Doris (Kinder) Rooper. She was a 1947 graduate of Hurricane High School. On April 15, 1960, Alice married Billy C. Clark, and enjoyed 35 years of marriage until his death in 1995. She worked as a secretary at Republic Steel in the 1950's and managed her husband's company, Clark Trucking, in the 1960's.

Alice was a 4-H leader and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and oil painting. In later years, she liked to play bingo, bowling, and poker keno with her friends.

Alice is preceded in death by her father in 1971, mother in 2006, granddaughter Alyssa in 1988, her husband in 1995, her sister Sally in 2016 and her brother Don in 1962. She is survived by her daughter Carol (Tim) McNally, son Albert Clark, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sisters Juanita Thornton, Peggy Henderson, Becky Phelps, and brother Wayne Rooper.
