Alice Lewrene Leclear

Alice Lewrene LeClear, age 95, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, in Hastings, Michigan. She was born on August 5, 1928, in Hinton Township, Mecosta County, Michigan, the daughter of Willard and Ila (Seaton) Woolworth.

Alice graduated from Morley-Stanwood High School in 1947.  Her passion for education led her to teach in a country school in Montcalm County, Michigan.

Alice enjoyed tending to her garden, marveling at the birds that visited her yard, and crafting creations that reflected the beauty she saw in the world. Alice's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a dedicated member of the Hastings Nazarene Church. She was also a longstanding member of the Tops Weightloss Group, where she encouraged and celebrated the achievements of her fellow members.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clyde LeClear, her siblings Elmer, Francis, Jim, Maynard, and Phil Woolworth, Gilda (Woolworth) Teeter, Opal (Woolworth) Ball, and Mary (Woolworth) Tiede.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Gayle) Losinger of Lake, Michigan, Renae Hardy of Middleville, Michigan, Elaine McBride of Crystal Falls, Michigan, Susie (Joseph) Steffler of Caledonia, Michigan, and Laura (Gerald) Hudson of Luzerne, Michigan; her grandchildren Tony, Ryan, Cliff, Steve, Mike, Mark, Amy, David, Greg, and Andy; her great-grandchildren Zachary, Ethan, Kelsey, Kayliana, Paige, Hayden, Joey, Phoebe, and Leo; her siblings Phyllis Woolworth of Cedar Springs, Michigan, Ivan (Janet) Woolworth of Jackson, Michigan, and Larry (Janet) Woolworth of Ashley, Indiana.

She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have been part of her journey.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Girrbach Funeral Home 328 South Broadway Street Hastings, Michigan 49058. Funeral Service at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at the Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior with interment 1:00PM at Altona Cemetery 5 Mile Rd & 110th Ave, Lakeview, MI 48850. Following her interment there will be a luncheon at the Brockway Wesleyan Church 10951 3 Mile Road, Morley, MI 49336. Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home.
