Barbara Anne Perez

Barbara Anne Perez went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11th, 2023.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 22nd, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S Broadway Avenue, Hastings Michigan 49058. Please join the family directly following the visitation at their home in Nashville for fellowship and food.

Barb was born on July 3rd, 1959, in Darby, Pennsylvania to William John and Delores (Gouldsmith) Reynolds. Barb grew up singing and playing the piano. She could name any tune on the radio. A lover of music, she was a fan club member for Elvis and Elton John. Barb was a die-hard Flyers and Phillies fan. Barb loved games and was magical with a deck of cards. She worked at Sands Casino in Atlantic City and her favorite game to deal was Roulette. In 2014, Barb and Bob moved to North Carolina. She became a realtor and loved working with families to find them the perfect home. Being around her family was her favorite. Barb loved to host friends and family, there was always a delicious meal in the kitchen. She was a wonderful cook and was stingy with sharing her recipes. She made one hell of a meatloaf and the best meatballs and stuffed peppers. Barb and Bob were the house to be at for any holiday function. From their annual 4th of July BBQ to Halloween parties, to the best Christmas Eve parties, she was so much fun to be around. She put thought into every gift she gave her loved ones, always special. She was a self-taught seamstress and would make costumes and hem clothes for the family. She loved her children and her granddaughters. She put everyone's happiness before her own. Always a giver and thinking of others. She was an amazing listener and would never hesitate to give you advice. She loved a slice of key lime pie, some good whoppers and a nice cold Yuengling. Barb was a wonderful wife to her loving husband Bob for 34 years, the most amazing mother to her children, Nana to her granddaughters, and greatest confidant to her dear friends. She will be missed dearly, but we glory in knowing she is with Bob and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Barbara is survived by her loving children Jessica Payton (Jonathan) and Dominic Perez, sister Terry DiFranceisco (Wayne), brothers Jimmy Reynolds (Lisa) and Joe Reynolds (Barb), sister-in-law Jennifer Nevins and brother-in-law Matthew Perez, and her two granddaughters Brooke and Scarlet Payton.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Perez, her mother Delores (Gouldsmith) Reynolds, her father William John Reynolds, and brothers Steve and Butch Reynolds.
