Ben E. Heath Jr;

Ben E. Heath Jr. age 53 of Hastings , passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 15, 2011. He was born in Tuson, Arizona the son of Ben Sr. and Margaret (Ankenbouer) Heath. Ben attended Maple Valley School and later received his GED. Ben worked for Gillons Construction and Heath Construction company , he also worked at Hastings Manufacturing Company. Ben served in the United States Army, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and playing with his grandson. He was a member of the Hastings Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his son Mark Heath, his father Ben Sr. and a brother Robert Heath. Ben is survived by his daughter Erika Heath, a grandson Parker, his mother Margaret Scantlen ,Step mother Delores Neff, sisters Terry (Dave) Doud, Becky (Steve) Heacock, Nora Atkinson, a brother Kenneth (Nicole) Atkinson, ex wife Tammy Heath, stepbrothers and stepsisters Roxanne, Wanda, Tony, Deb,Cheryl, Frank, Steve, many nieces, nephews and cousins, a special friend Chris Jenkins and family. Memorials would be appreciated to the family to help with final expenses. Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00am until service time. Memorial services will be held Monday March 21, 2011 @ 12:00 noon at Thornapple Valley Church. Pastor Gary Newton will officiate the service. Burial will take place Saturday, March 26, 2011, 11:00 am at Hastings Township Cemetery, with full military honors. Military honors provided by American Legion Post #45.
