Bernard R. Davis stepped into Glory August 1, 2015, in Naples, Florida. He was born July 6, 1955, in Hastings, Michigan, to Elsie and Roger Davis, who predeceased him. A 1974 Hastings High School graduate, Bernie relocated in 1986 to Florida, where he worked as a security guard.
Bernie loved trivia and had a remarkable memory for movies and music. He dealt with cancer with dignity and grace. Strengthened by his Christian faith, he never complained.
Bernie is survived by three sisters, Jerilyn Davis, Janice (Phillip) Lee, and Diana (Mark) Parmenter; one niece and six nephews; twenty grandnieces and nephews; and family friend Robbie Bruner.
A celebration of Bernie's life will be held at 1 pm on August 14, 2015, at Girrbach Funeral Home, Hastings, Michigan , with Rev. Scott Parmenter officiating. Interment will follow at the Dowling Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hastings Baptist Church, 309 E. Woodlawn Ave., Hastings, MI 49058.
