Betty Avery

Middleville, Mich. - Betty Jean Collins Avery, 87, of Middleville, Mich. joined Jesus her savior on April 30, 2018. She was born in Lafayette, Ind. January 30, 1931 but lived in Glen Ellyn, Ill. and Hastings, Mich. while raising her family. She eventually moved back to Indiana, living in Indianapolis and Nineveh. While living Nineveh she loved serving in a care ministry that knitted caps for premature newborns; she also loved her friends there from her women's group Bible study. After relocating from Nineveh to Middleville, Betty found her second family at Lincoln Meadow Apartments where she loved all activities involving people, especially Rummy, arts and crafts and dinner gatherings.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Clarence H. Collins and Eulah L. Randolph Collins, as well a sister Georgia Lindaloph (Vernon-deceased) Sparger of Seffner, Fla. Betty is survived by her children: William H. Avery, Jr. of Hastings; Berry J. Avery of Yankee Springs, Mich.; Barb A. (Roger) Caris of Hastings; Robert C. (Karen) Avery of Nineveh; and Bart R. Avery of Indianapolis. She is also survived by a sister Karen S. (John-deceased) Siemers of Lafayette, Ind. as well as many beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
