Betty Mae Bahs, age 86, of Hastings, Michigan, passed away on July 5, 2023, at Woodlawn Meadows in Hastings.

Betty was born on March 10, 1937, in Nashville, Michigan, the daughter of Harold H. and Selma (Lundstrum) Bahs.  She was a 1955 graduate of Nashville High School.  Betty attended Elkhart University and worked as a medical lab technician at Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital in Charlotte, Lakeview Hospital in Battle Creek, and Pennock Hospital in Hastings.  She also worked with Drs. Betty enjoyed reading, woodworking, time with her family and friends, camping, traveling, and gardening.  She could repair just about anything and build almost anything.  She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Ronald and brothers Carl (Louise) Bahs and Roger Bahs, and special friend, Margret Matson.

She is survived by 3 very special families: Kay (Bert) Keeler of Hastings, Michigan, Suzanne (Norm) Udell of Rotunda West, Florida, and Mark (Joyce) Matson of Hastings, Michigan, as well as their extended families.  Also surviving are nieces Geri (Clyde) Jackson of Hawaii, Tracy Bahs of Missouri, and nephews John (Sue) Bahs of Nashville, Michigan, and Brian (Deborah) Bahs of Olympia, Washington.
