Beverley Ann Brown passed away on November 28, 2024, in Lowell, Michigan. She was born on May 24, 1934, in Lake Odessa, Michigan, the daughter of Hobart and Edna (Narregang) Carpenter.
Beverley's journey began alongside her parents in the quaint town of Lake Odessa, where she grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit community. After graduating from Lake Odessa High School in 1952, she embarked on a life filled with love, laughter, and the simple joys of everyday life. Her first job, popping popcorn at the local movie theater, would serendipitously lead her to the love of her life, Harold Brown. The two were united in marriage on March 1, 1953, and together they built a life rich in love and family until Harold's passing on Valentine's Day in 1999. Beverley found love once more and married Roy Schlachter on October 7, 2001, who preceded her in death.
Beverley was also preceded in death by her parents, son Walter Brown, and son-in-law Mike O'Mara, and stepson-in-law Jerry Morrissey.
She is survived by her children, Pamela (Richard) Palmer and Paige (Michael) O'Mara; her grandchildren, Erin Palmer-Current, Matthew (Sarah) Palmer, Adrienne (Joseph) Wenger, Branden (Kristin) O'Mara, Gabriel (Megan) O'Mara, Wade (Liz) O'Mara, and Hannah O'Mara; her great-grandchildren, Bristyl Current; Abigail, Alexander, and Ava Palmer; Jeremy, Elise, and Jase Wenger; Brenna and Henry O'Mara; Grant, Maeve, and Aiden O'Mara; and Teddy O'Mara and his soon-to-be sibling, step son Phillip (Karen) Schlachter, step grandchildren Kristen and Kerry.
Beverley was an avid gardener. She was a dog lover, and she was never known to be without a canine companion by her side until recent years. Music filled Beverley's home and heart, as she played the organ and piano both for her own enjoyment and for the residents at Thornapple Manor.
