Beverley Jean Walden

Beverley Jean Walden, of Hastings, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, in Reed City at the age of 89. She was born February 4, 1937, in Adrian, Michigan, to Ralph V. and Hilda (Moore) Krebs.

Beverley retired from Hastings Manufacturing after many years of dedicated employment. She married the love of her life, Alex Walden, in 1952, and together they shared many wonderful years until his passing in 2014.

Beverley enjoyed gardening, reading, playing games on her iPad, and staying connected with family and friends through Facebook and text messages. She especially treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, helping raise many of them and taking great joy in spoiling them whenever she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alex; her son, Terry Walden; her sister, Jane; and her half-brother, Andrew Slayton.

Beverley is survived by her children, Mark (Heidi) Walden, Daniel (Lynda) Walden, and Randy (Barbara) Walden; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S. Broadway St., Hastings, MI 49058.
