Beverly Ann Kennedy

Beverly Ann Kennedy, age 78 of Hastings, passed away at her home on February 15, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Beverly was born on January 30, 1940 in Hastings, Michigan, the daughter of Lawrence and Martha (Belson) Beadle. She graduated from Hastings High School. Beverly attended college and obtained an Associate's Degree in Nursing. She married Alan E. Kennedy on September 16, 1956. Together they enjoyed 61 years of marriage.

Beverly worked as a registered nurse at Thornapple Manor in Hastings for 15 years. She also worked for Barry County Hospice for 10 years.
Beverly enjoyed farming, gardening and caring for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Martha Beadle and her sister, Arlene (Beadle) Goodrich.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Alan Kennedy, three daughters, Carla (Steve) Jiles, Colleen (Gordon) Elliott, Christine (James) Cotant, 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brother, Lynn (Jonell) Beadle and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church, 209 W. Green St., Hastings, MI. Interment will take place at Hastings Township Cemetery. Rev. Bryce Feighner will officiate the service.
