C. Mark Baldwin passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024, in Hastings, Michigan. He was born on November 20, 1930, in Flint, Michigan, to Clyde Alonzo and Zina Ruth (Hutchinson) Baldwin.
Mark attended Flint Tech High School, followed by Mott Community College. His commitment to his country was evident when he proudly served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict.
After his military service, Mark married his beloved Lucy (Fleming) Baldwin in August 1954. Their marriage was a loving partnership that lasted 69 years until her passing. Together, they built a life filled with joy, challenges, and the blessings of a close-knit family.
Professionally, Mark was meticulous and trustworthy, qualities that served him well in his role as a bookkeeper for the Fisher Body Plant. His love for sports and community was apparent through his work in the Pro Shop at Colonial Lanes in Flushing, Michigan, where he was a familiar and friendly face to many.
Mark's interests were a reflection of his love for the outdoors and friendly competition. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding solace in the quiet of nature and the thrill of the catch. His passion for playing cards, bowling, and golfing brought him many joyful moments and cherished memories with friends and family.
Mark's legacy is carried on by his children, Mark Baldwin, Margo Baldwin, and Mitch (Jessica) Baldwin; his grandchildren, Norman and Sam; and numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his wisdom, humor, and the gentle strength he embodied.
