Catherine Alene Cuddahee

Catherine Alene “Cathy” Cuddahee, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 67. She was born on March 10, 1958, in Hastings, Michigan, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Apsey) Cuddahee.

A proud 1976 graduate of Hastings High School, Cathy dedicated her career to caring for others, retiring from Thornapple Manor after 38 years of service. Her commitment to community extended beyond her profession; she was an active member of the Hastings Jaycees, where she served as President and made lasting contributions to the organization.

Cathy had a lifelong fondness for children and was known to many as “Aunt Tah.” She delighted in scrapbooking, crossword puzzles, and sharing nail appointments with her great-nieces. She also loved traveling to the cabin up north.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother ClaraBelle Apsey, and her sister Colleen Moore.

Cathy leaves behind her loving family: siblings Brian (Brenda L.) Cuddahee, Brenda G. Cuddahee, Felicia Cuddahee, and Glendon Cuddahee; nieces and nephews Ashley, Jeremy, Jessica, Andrew, and Dylan; several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins; and her dear friend Carol Paige. Her warmth, kindness, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S Broadway, Hastings, MI 49058. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Lord. Interment will take place at Hastings Township Cemetery.
