Charles A. Coy, age 73 of Hastings, died on Friday November 7, 2014 at Spectrum Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Charles was born in Hastings on June 20, 1941, the son of Basil Coy and Ella (Jaunita) Hayward.
He attended Hastings area schools. Charles worked for H.B. Shermans Welding and also did farming work. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his nieces, nephews and family. Charles loved to weld and make things.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Basil Coy and Ella (Jaunita) Coy.
He is survived by his brothers: Clarence Coy, Ed Coy, Gary (Wanda) Coy, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 6 great nieces, 3 great-great nephews and 1 great-great niece.
Graveside services will be held Thursday November 13, 2014 @1:00pm at Prairieville Township Cemetery, with Rev. Carla Smith officiating.
