Chuck was born on March 15, 1929 in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of Charley and Eleanor (Holzmann) Heacock. He attended grade school in Kennon, Wisconsin. Chuck honorably served during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He married Doris Price on July 3, 1954.
Chuck retired from Bradford White in 1991, after 32 years of service. He also did Carpenter work for Jerry Johnson and worked for Royal Coach.
Chuck enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially at Drummond Island. He also enjoyed wintering in Florida and fishing there as well. Chuck was a member of the Hastings Moose 628, American Legion and the VFW of Nashville.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Frank Heacock and infant brother, Herald Holzmann.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Doris Heacock of Hastings, his children: Charles L. Heacock of Hastings, Kathy Dunn of Hastings, Brenda (William) Griffith of Bellevue, 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 6 great granddaughters, Cameron Clinton of Hastings, brother, Lester Heacock of Florida, Suzanne Carpenter of Florida, Judie Willingham of Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial luncheon will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at noon at the Hastings Moose Lodge. Burial with full military honors will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, the Veterans Administration or a charity of one's choice.
