Charlie Conklin

Charlie Conklin, age 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 8, 2020 at Glen Arbor Hospice in Battle Creek.

He was born in Dowling, Michigan on June 28, 1936 to Leslie and Agnes (Ketchum) Conklin and lived in the Dowling area all his life (minus a 3-year stint in the Army). He loved to talk about his time in the army in Honolulu, delivering new trucks all over the US and running the bran shed at Kellogg's. He and his wife also had a dairy farm.

Charlie married Bobbie Sue Hicks on July 9, 1958, and they lacked a day having 62 years together. They had 2 children, but no grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, daughter Lynette (Rob) Garrett, son Arnold (LuAnn Buschmann) Conklin, a brother Bob (Beverly) Conklin, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
