Charlotte Ann Batzloff

Charlotte Ann Batzloff, age 96 of Lake Odessa, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Carveth Village in Middleville, Michigan.

Charlotte was born on January 14, 1917 in Lapeer, Michigan, the daughter of William Henry and Ida (Retherford) Pearce. She attended Columbiaville High School, graduating in 1934. Charlotte married Charles F. Batzloff on March 14, 1937.

She worked as an office manager for the Lapeer County Press until her retirement in 1978. Charlotte was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Lapeer. She enjoyed reading, quilting and fishing.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida Pearce, husband, Charles Batzloff, daughter, Phyllis Caley, her siblings, Katherine Inman, William H. Pearce, Jr., Mary Jane Congdon, Elizabeth Curtis and Frances Shuler.

Charlotte is survived by her sons, Todd P. (Sandy) Batzloff and Charles F. (Fred) (Linda) Batzloff, eleven grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Respecting Charlotte's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Lapeer, Michigan.
