Colleen Ann (Byrne) Iler of Hastings passed away December 8, 2015 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI, at the age of 56.
Colleen was born December 20, 1958 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of William and Illene (Howell) Byrne. She attended East Detroit High School, graduating in 1977. Colleen worked in the Insurance business for several years and later worked as a caregiver.
Colleen married her husband Scott Iler July 19, 1980. She enjoyed dancing, camping and cross-stitching. She also took pleasure in spending time in the Sand Lake area and vacationing with her husband and kids. Colleen had a very outgoing personality with a memorable laugh. She delighted in meeting new people and spending time with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her father William Byrne, grandparents, Joseph and Isabella Byrne, and Joseph and Edna Howell.
She is survived by her husband Scott Iler of Hastings, daughters, Wendi and Rachael Iler of Hastings, mother, Illene Byrne, brothers, Terrence (Lynn) Byrne, William (Cristine) Byrne, and Shawn Byrne, sisters, Maureen (Scott) Wilkins and Kelly (Craig) Sikkila. Colleen is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friend Kathy Weyerman, and other loved ones.
Memorial Contributions can be made out to the family or a charity of one's choice.
A private celebration of life will take place within the family on December 12, 2015.
