Curtis Lesley Watts, age 73 of Lake, Michigan, passed away September 18, 2010 at his home. He was born January 17, 1937 in Bogue Chitto, MS the son of Louis and Mabel (Nettles) Watts. Curtis attended school in Ypsilanti, MI and graduated in 1954. He worked as a machinist/mechanic, in Santa Ana, CA, at Novi Auto, Novi, MI, Holloway Construction, Wixom, MI, and grounds keeper/building maintenance at Miller Foundation, Battle Creek, MI, retiring in 1999. Curtis enlisted in the United States Navy, stationed at Long Beach, CA in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1957. He married Louise M. (Holtom) Watts, September 28, 1957 in Long Beach, CA. Curtis's hobbies included auto restoration and carpentry. \r
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mabel Watts, brother, Herbert, sisters; Lucille Nettles, Irene Grose, and Jennie Barney. \r
Curtis is survived by his wife, Louise Watts of Lake, MI, children; Michael Watts of Wayland, MI, Millicent Biernier of Mesa, AZ, Tracy Maloney of Pinckney, MI, Joseph Watts of Arizona City, AZ, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers; Joe Watts of Collins, MS and L.A. Watts of Wayne, MI and many nieces and nephews. \r

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010, 1:00pm at Pleasantview Family Church, 2601 Lacey Rd., Dowling, MI. Pastor Steve Olmstead will be officiating the service.
