Dale Isaac Cappon

Dale Isaac Cappon, age 85 of Hastings passed away September 20, 2015 at his home in Hastings.
Dale was born in Barry County on May 22, 1930, the son of John Isaac Cappon and Nellie (Bagley) Cappon. He attended Hastings and Lakewood Schools, receiving his degree in 1968. Dale married Marjorie Ellen Blough on August 14, 1953.
Dale farmed in his early years. Over the years he worked for White's in Middleville, and Classic Realty (6 years). Dale was also employed by E.W. Bliss in Hastings for 28 years until his retirement in 1985. Dale was the Rutland Township Treasurer for 22 years. He was a member of the Hastings United Methodist Church, National Rifle
Association, Moose Lodge and the Democratic National Committee.
Dale enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie Cappon, wife, Marjorie Cappon and son, Michael Cappon.
Dale is survived by his son, Gordon Cappon of Round Rock, TX, daughters, Deborah Cappon (Robert Barton) of Middleville,MI, Denise Cappon (Richard Clouse) of Hastings, MI, two grandsons, Michael and Matthew Barton of Middleville, MI, sister, Ilene Seeber of Middleville, MI, his dog, Daisy and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzhiemers Association.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. A one hour visitation period will precede the funeral service from 10 to 11am.
Pastor David Hughes will officiate the service.
