Dennis Wendell Barton

Dennis Wendell Barton, aged 67, of Hastings, Michigan, passed away on January 22, 2024. He was born in Comstock, Michigan, on March 19, 1956, to the late James A. and Roma C. (Stenzal) Barton.

Dennis was a 1975 graduate of Hastings High School.  Following his education, he answered the call to serve his country as a respected veteran of both the Army and the Marines.

After his military service, Dennis embarked on a career as a truck driver in Virginia. Unfortunately, he became disabled, which led him to discover new passions and hobbies that would fill his days with joy and purpose.

Dennis had a remarkable talent for fixing old clocks, a delicate and precise hobby, despite his disability. He was also skilled in building things out of wood. In addition to his woodworking, Dennis had a passion for building remote control tanks and cars.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Roma C. Barton, and his brother, Archie. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving siblings, Rusty (Judy) Barton, Anita (Dick) Wilkins, Kate Sutton, Terry Barton, and Jerry Barton. Dennis was also a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews.
