Dewey Frank Arms, age 83 of Delton, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home, Thursday, June 22, 2017, with his family by his side.
He was born in Oil Springs, Kentucky, on October 12, 1933, the son of Morris and Hazel (Reed) Armes. Dewey attended school in Oil Springs, Kentucky. He honorably served in the U.S. AirForce as a Firefighter from 1952 to 1956. Dewey married Virginia Lee Richie on March 9, 1957.
Dewey held various jobs over the years, he worked for the Nickel Plate Railroad in Toledo, Ohio, Valley Metal Products in Plainwell, MI, Darling Freight in Grand Rapids, Michigan and for 30 years worked for Roadway Express, retiring in 1995. Dewey was a lifetime member of the Bradley Masonic Lodge #296. For enjoyment Dewey liked playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Hazel Armes, and brother, Buel Arms.
Dewey is survived by his wife, Virginia Arms of Delton, Michigan, daughter, Juanita (Mark) Lemke of Pickerington, OH, granddaughter, Jayme (Billy Wolfe) Lemke of Falls Church, VA, grandsons, Sean Lemke of Cleveland, OH, and Nathaniel Lemke of Kettering, OH, sisters, Jean (Carl) Richie, Pauline Hollon, and Gereline (Ralph) Price.

The public is invited to attend the Graveside Masonic service that will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Oakhill Cemetery, 6900 Lindsey Rd., Delton, MI 49056.
