Doris Jean Blodgett

Doris Jean (Gutheridge) Blodgett, age 83 of Hastings, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at her residence.

Doris was born on April 29, 1933 in Rusk County, Wisconsin the daughter of Robert H. and Margaret (Kinyon) Gutheridge. She attended Ladysmith School in Wisconsin. Doris married James Bodgett on September 10, 1950. She worked in retail, most of her life and her most recent job was at Jamie's Crafts in Hastings.

Doris enjoyed sewing, reading, baking and also liked Nascar racing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Blodgett, son, James Blodgett Jr., Grandson, Tyler Turner, daughter-in-law, Kathy Blodgett, sisters, Mabel Quigley and Nora Hooten, and brothers, John, Everett and Dell Gutheridge.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Judith Loucks, and Jennifer (Paul) Turner, son, Roger Blodgett, brother, Robert (Elaine) Gutheridge, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. A one hour visitation will precede the funeral service from 12:00 to 1:00. Mickey Ann Cousino will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Brush Ridge Cemetery.
