Earl Frank Connor

Earl Frank Connor, age 80 of Hastings, Michigan, passed away January 9, 2024.

Earl was born April 24, 1943, the son of William and Berthena (Hudson) Connor.  He was a 1961 graduate of Kelloggsville High School.  He worked for Keeler Brass and Bradford White retiring in 2009.  On May 25, 1963, Earl married Gail Sawyer, and they enjoyed 57 years together until her passing in 2021.

Earl was a member of Hastings Baptist Church.  He loved his wife of 57 years very much, and like her was very excited when the family grew. He loved going to garage sales with his wife, many times looking for items for the family and others.  Earl loved working out, jogging, walking, and lifting weights. He ran the New York Skyline Marathon and the Old Kent River Bank Run.  Our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, although not a man of many words, had an enormous, kind heart. He had what we call a "Connor" sense of humor, and this is what many people remember most about him.

Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Connor, brothers Gene and Burt, and sister Vera.

He is survived by his son Randy (Linda) Connor of Delton, Michigan, daughter Tammy Connor of Hastings, Michigan, son Victor Connor of Orlando, Florida, 6 grandkids, 6 great-grandkids, brother Tim (Denise) Connor of Dorr, Michigan, brother David Connor of Las Vegas, Nevada, many nephews, nieces, and cousins, and adopted sisters Mary and Judy.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 4:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior at 3:00 PM at the Hastings Baptist Church, 309 E Woodlawn Ave, Hastings, MI 49058. A luncheon will follow.
