Eva Mae Fox

Eva Mae Fox, age 96, passed away on December 29, 2023.

Eva was born on October 18, 1927, the daughter of John and Evalyn (Ormsbe) Hook.  She attended Hastings High School and Huntington College in Indiana.

Eva married Edwin Fox in 1952, which ended in divorce.  In 1991, she married Ira Peake.

Eva worked as a schoolteacher.  She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the United Brethren in Christ.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents John and Evalyn Hook, her husband Ira Peake, brothers Forrest, Morris, and Francis Hook, sisters Dorthy Stratton and Ruth Roush.

She is survived by her children Keith (Martinna) Fox of Hastings, Rose (Jim Holloway) Mead of Jenison, David (Maria) Fox of Florida, Dale (Georgia) Fox of Hastings, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Hastings Church of the Nazarene, 1716 North Broadway Street, Hastings, MI 49058 on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM.  Interment at Dowling Cemetery/.  Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home.
