Evelyn Marie Allerding, age 91, of Hastings, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, in Hastings. She was born on December 21, 1934, in Irving Township, Michigan, to Clifford Walter and Frances Isabella (Blackford) Johnson.

Evelyn graduated from Middleville High School with the Class of 1952. She married Neil Allerding, Sr., and together they raised five children while building a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.

For more than 50 years, Evelyn owned and operated her own cleaning business. She took great pride in her work and earned the respect and appreciation of many families throughout the community. She spent her life caring for others, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed.

Evelyn found great joy in gardening and was well known for her beautiful yard filled with a variety of colorful flower beds. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, and baking, creating treasured gifts and memories for her family. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and the generations that followed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Neil Allerding, Sr.; brothers James Johnson, who was missing in action during the Korean War, Robert Johnson, and twin brothers Harold and Gerald Johnson.

Evelyn is lovingly survived by her children, Neil Allerding, Jr., James (Roseann) Allerding, Russell Allerding, Larry Allerding, and Vickie Sheridan; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her love and example.

In accordance with Evelyn's wishes, private family burial services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in Evelyn's memory.
