Evon "Bonnie" Lake

Evon "Bonnie" Lake, age 89, of Hastings, Michigan, passed away on March 14, 2022.  Bonnie was born on September 3, 1932 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Mable (Johns) Wilson.

Bonnie attended Battle Creek Schools.  On November 25, 1947, she married Buddy L. Lake, and they enjoyed 57 years together until his death in 2005.  Bonnie worked at Action Flex for 5 years, and Viking for 26 years, retiring in 1994.  She enjoyed knitting and sewing.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Buddy, brothers, 1 sister, 1 daughter-in-law Pat Lake, and 1 granddaughter, Nicole Olvera.

She is survived by daughters Diana Miller of Hastings, Julie Smith of Hastings, son William Lake of Lake Odessa, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Bonnie Wilson, several nieces and nephews, and 2 furbabies.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S Broadway; Hastings, MI 49058 with a one hour visitation one hour prior at 11:00 AM.  Interment at Cedar Creek Cemetery.  Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home.
