Ezra Arthur Hedges passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024, in his hometown of Hastings, Michigan. Ezra was born on January 12, 1953, to Arthur and Arabelle (Castelein) Hedges.
A proud 1972 graduate of Hastings High School, Ezra's commitment to his country was evident through his service in the US Army. His work ethic shone brightly throughout his career, which included valued positions at Bliss and Floorstyle. Ezra dedicated 27 years to Bradford White, from where he retired.
Ezra's passion for life extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His hands were rarely still, as he loved building and tinkering in his garage. A true aficionado of Chevy Muscle Cars, Ezra not only owned but meticulously worked on these powerful machines. His presence was a familiar sight at drag strips, where he shared his love for the roar of engines and the thrill of speed with fellow enthusiasts.
Above all, Ezra's heart belonged to his family and friends. He cherished every moment spent playing and laughing with his grandkids. The memories created during these precious times will be held close by all who loved him.
Ezra is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Russell Snyder, his niece Phyllis Snyder, and his Aunt Josephine Beardslee. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lisa (Beckwith) Hedges, children Steven (Melony) Hedges, Nate Hedges, and grandchildren Maeleigh, Ramyra, and Zegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
