Frank Hilton Cole, age 92 of Woodland, Michigan, passed away September 29, 2017 at his home.
Frank was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on November 3, 1924, the son of Willett Abram and Omah Fern (Strickland) Cole. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1942. Frank worked for Post Cereal for 37 years and also operated the family farm.
Frank, also known as Pappy, enjoyed hunting and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He loved to garden and enjoyed canning produce. Frank also loved to read and watch Westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willett and Omah Cole, wife of 47 years, Barbara Maxine Cole, and son, Willett Ronald Cole.
Frank is survived by his children: Sharon Miltenberger of Battle Creek, MI, Lionel (Ginger) Cole of Nashville, MI, Perry Cole of Mancelona, MI, Merry Goss of Battle Creek, MI, daughter-in-law, Cathy Cole of Hastings, MI, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and brother, Weldon Cole of Battle Creek, MI.
Memorial contributions may be made to the NRA (National Rifle Association) or Barry County Humane Society.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 10-11 am at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. Funeral Services will follow the Visitation period at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery.
