Frederic Emery Wilcox, age 80 of Hastings, Michigan passed away April 14, 2018 at the Ely Manor in Allegan, Michigan.
Fred was born in Hastings, Michigan on April 3, 1938, the son of Lyle D. and Brenice V. (Pierce) Wilcox. He married Donna Kay Sandbrook on January 11, 1958.
Fred worked at Hastings Aluminum Products as a Tool and Die Maker for 32 years, until they closed. He then worked at Hastings Manufacturing for 12 years, before retiring in 2000.
He enjoyed spending time with his kids, and grandkids, hunting, fishing, camping, racing, gardening, mushrooming, being outdoors, woodworking and repairing and building cars.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Brenice Wilcox, brothers, Roger, Roy and Richard Wilcox, sisters, Hellen Lake, Alberta Sinclair, Iris Underhill and son, Randy Wilcox.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna Wilcox, sons, Ronald (Tammy) Wilcox, Roland (Jo) Wilcox, and daughter-in-law, Anne Wilcox-Kurr, 9 grandkids, and 6 great-grandkids.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope United Methodist Church, 2920 S. M-37 Hwy., Hastings, MI 49058 or a charity of one's choice.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings.
