Gabriele Hakl

Gabriele Hakl, age 84, of Hastings, Michigan, passed away on September 21, 2020.

Gabriele was born on November 2, 1935 in München, Germany.  On December 31, 1992, she married Frank Hakl, who preceded her in death.  Gabriele retired from Michigan State University, where she worked in Housekeeping.  She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her grandkids.

Gabriele is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, husband Frank Hakl, daughter Christine Moffit, sister Ingeborg (Daryl) Burrows, and great-granddaughter Lauryn Faith Nichols.

She is survived by her children Sandra (Kerry) Gallentine of Hastings, Daryl (Lupita) O'Dell of Potterville, daughter Brenda Rix of South Dakota, Gabriele (Robert) Franz of Grand Haven, step-children Trish (Gerall) Carr, Scott (Sue) Edwards, Gordon (Melanie) Edwards, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Trudy Lang of Germany, niece Irmgard (John) Deyoung of Florida, niece Dominique (Brent) Titus of DeWitt.  Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home.
