Gary Ray Wilcox

Gary Ray Wilcox, age 69, of Hastings, Michigan passed away on November 23, 2019.  Gary was born on October 18, 1950, the son of Roy and Shirley (Hale) Wilcox. Gary was a 1970 graduate of Hastings High School.  He served his country proudly from 1970-1972 during the Vietnam War.  On January 20, 1973, he married Christine Ann Snyder. Gary enjoyed fishing, fly-tying, hunting, leather work, cooking, and Civil War Reenactment for Barry County.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Mark Wilcox. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Christine Ann (Snyder) Wilcox of Hastings, Michigan, daughter Rachel Ann (Pete) Valdez of Hastings, Michigan, son Chad Russell Wilcox of Wayland, grandchildren Xavier Valdez, Carmen Valdez, Emalena Valdez, Garrett Wilcox, Hailey Wilcox, brothers Michael Wilcox , Owen Wilcox, and a sister Linda Oostindie.  A private family service with military honors will be at Fort Custer Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan at a later date.  Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home, to leave an online condolence, visit www.girrbachfuneralhome.net .
