George "Pete" Peter Clelland

George "Pete" Clelland, age 81 of Grant, Michigan, passed away on March 21, 2021. He was born on January 6, 1940 the son of George and Nancy (Long) Clelland.

Pete was a 1959 graduate of Grandville High School. He proudly served in the US Army from 1959 to 1964. Pete worked for Steelcase, retiring after 34 years. He enjoyed old Ford muscle cars, riding his Harley, and hanging out with friends and family. He loved animals, especially dogs. His parents were from West Virginia, where he spent some years growing up and many vacations. His ashes will be brought back to the hills of West Virginia that he loved.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents, George and Nancy Clelland, his son John Clelland, brother Tom Clelland and former wife Grace Clelland.

He is survived by his wife Cathy Clelland, six children, Nancy (Tony) Straub, Denise Clelland, Tina (Bruce) Kazemier, Jim Clelland, Mary (Rich) DeJong, and Rachel Clelland, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great granddaughters, many nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors.
