Gerald L. Hill

Gerald L. Hill age 79 of Battle Creek died Monday December 20, 2010 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born in Nashville, Michigan the son of Donald and Lucille (Penfold) Hill. Gerald served in the United States Army for 12 years and was honorable discharged in 1958 as a Medical Specialist. He married Joy Corkins January 18, 1969. Gerald was a self employed mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed working on small engines and autos. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary Hill and a son Marc Hill. Gerald is survived by his wife Joy Hill of Battle Creek, daughter's Jennifer (Leon) Boda of Morley, grandsons Joshua Addison of Cedar Springs, Bailey Probst of Dorr, granddaughter Nicole Bradley & Fiance Daryl May of Allendale, great-grandson Logan Addison, great-granddaughter Adalyn May, step-granddaughter Cheyenne Boda, brother Don (Marilyn) Hill of Gulfport Fl., sister Jackie McKinney of Hastings sister in-law Dawn Hill of Hastings, numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a military service will be held at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Barry County Animal Shelter 540 N.Industrial Park Dr.Hastings, MI. 49058. Arrangements are by the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings.
