Geraldine Kay Barnes

Geraldine Kay Barnes, age 82 of Wayland, passed away on August 7, 2020. She was born on October 4, 1937 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Orie and Neva (Price) Clark.

Geraldine worked 10+ years for Baryames Dry Cleaners. She then started working for Fairview Schools as the lunch program coordinator, retiring in 1996. She then moved to Gun Lake full time.

In her free time she loved to read, sew, crochet, and do jigsaw puzzles as well as spending time in her flower filled yard. In the summers she loved going boating on Gun Lake with family and friends. In the winter she loved cheering on her favorite basketball team, the Michigan State Spartans.

Geraldine was preceded in death by Donald Raymond Barnes (Husband), Orie R Clark (Father), Neva A Clark (Mother), Arlene Donnley (sister), Richard Clark (brother), Orie Clark (brother).

She is survived by her children; Debbie Miner of Shelbyville, Floyd "Smokey" Morse (Sharon) of Lansing, Scott Morse (Sheila) of Phoenix AZ, Judy Kline (Jerry) of Plainwell, 11 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren. Siblings; Jeanetter Crawford of Jackson TN, Connie Brewer (Mel) of Harrison, Auralie Abfalter of Lansing, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Everyone is invited to a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 17th, 2020 at 11am with a visitation luncheon following from 12-3pm at Yankee Springs Township Park, 1659-1705 Parker Dr, Wayland, MI 49348.
