Geraldine Christine Kuzava

Geraldine Christine Kuzava, age 81  of Hastings, passed away September 30, 2020.

Gerri was born on April 20, 1939 in W. Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Anthony and Sara (Siuchta) Prusinowski.  She attended Conshohocken High School, graduating in 1957 and attended Montgomery School of Nursing, graduating in 1960, with a registered nurse degree.

Gerri married Bernard Kuzava on October 14, 1961 and together enjoyed 59 years of marriage.

Gerri worked as an Operating Room Nurse for seven years, and a High School Nurse in Richmond, Virginia for six years.  Her greatest passion was being the Owner and Operator of ICS Travel, Inc. in Hastings for 34 years.

Gerri was an accomplished seamstress and she especially loved caring for her children, grandchildren and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Sara Prusinowski, brother, John and sister, Loretta.

Gerri is survived by her husband, Bernard Kuzava, son, Bernard Jr. (Katherine) Kuzava of Tampa, FL, daughter, Susan (David) Baum of Hastings, MI, son, David Kuzava of Las Vegas, NV, nine grandchildren, one great grand-son and eleven nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Foundation ( www.alzfdn.org ) or Serenity Village Barry County Palliative Care Home (serenitybc.org), would be appreciated.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 805 S. Jefferson St., Hastings, on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 11:00 am.  Restricted attendance of 75 persons and masks are required.  Due to Covid 19 restriction, there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.   Entombment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Hastings.

Celebration of Life Social at The Legacy of Hastings will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.  All friends of the family are welcome to attend.
