Helen G. Barry

Helen G. Barry, age 93 of Hastings, MI passed away October 22, 2010 at Pennock Hospital. She was born August 4, 1917 in Castleton Township the daughter of George and Mabel (Offley) McDowell. Helen attended and graduated from Nashville High school. She lived in Barry County all her life. Helen farmed for many years with her late husband Norman Barry. She also assisted her husband with Barry's Wrecker Service and other business until retirement. \r
Helen enjoyed traveling, being a homemaker and spending time with her family. \r
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman Barry, and son-in-law, Lynwood (Chub) Howe.\r
Helen is survived by her daughter, Joanne Howe, two grandchildren, Steven (Terri) Howe of Marshall, MI, Jeffrey (Beth) Howe of Traverse City, MI, and four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua, Nicole and Ian. \r
Visitation and funeral services will be held, Monday, October 25, 2010 with a visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral service at 1:00pm. Pastor Dan Spachman will be officiating the service. Burial will follow the services at Riverside Cemetery. \r
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice. \r
Arrangements are by the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. \r
