Ila May Jung, age 80 of Hastings, Michigan, and formerly Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away December 12, 2016 at Thornapple Manor in Hastings.
Ila was born in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Avery and Lorena (Brininstool) Lyman. She attended Bedford Area Schools. Ila married Paul A. Jung Sr. on August 13, 1955. She worked at Point Pleasant Hospital (1966 - 1970), Lelia Hospital in Battle Creek (1971-1986) and Lyman's Auto Trim.
Ila enjoyed doing ceramics, garage sales and flea markets, crocheting and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Avery and Lorena Lyman, husband, Paul A. Jung Sr., and son, Paul Jung.
Ila is survived by her children, Julie Flook of Battle Creek, MI, Denise (Alan) Hardin of Virginia Beach, VA, and Paul Jung Jr. of Battle Creek, MI, her siblings, Tinnea Brown, Judy (Robert) Grant, Robert (Sue) Parker, Clayton (Carol) Parker, and Diana Isaacson all of Battle Creek, MI, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be may to the Thornapple Manor Life Enrichment Department, 2700 Nashville Hwy., Hastings, MI 49058.
A Celebration of Life service and burial at Battle Creek Memorial Cemetery will be held at a later date.
