Jack Klomparens, age 96, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021.
He was born in Grand Rapids, Mi to Jacob and Sena (Troost) Klomparens and attended Muskegon Public Schools. In November 1943 he joined the Marine Corps. He was a tank driver during WWII. On January 30, 1947, he married Gladys Hanson. They resided for almost 70 years in Holland, MI, worshipping with Fourth Reformed Church and Christ Memorial Church. They enjoyed daily cribbage games, golf, watching baseball, and square dancing. Jack also pursued running, music, and humor with witty words.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Gladys in August 2016.
Surviving are his children; Terry and Vicki (Ellis) Klomparens, Denise and Bruce Krakowski, and Janice and Andrew Warner; grandchildren, Dylan and Annette Krakowski, Jacob Klomparens, Aaron Klomparens, Heidi and Eric Hibbler, Drew and Morgann Warner and Mindy and Patrick Sandoval; 5 great grandchildren, Chance, Jacob, Victoria, Braylon and Parker; and nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff at Carveth Village in Middleville, who became more than family during Covid-shut down, and the staff at Thornapple Manor in Hastings for their care and comfort.
