Jack William Lake, age 72 of Hastings, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at his residence. He was born January 27, 1938 in Battle Creek, Michigan, son of Russell and Julia (Collins) Lake. He attended school in Bellevue.\r
He spent most of his life farming and in recent years sold his produce. He married Judy Field in 1965. He enjoyed music and singing, working on automobiles and trucks, woodworking and cooking. \r
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Judy, two brothers, Buddy Lee and Richard Russell Lake. \r
He is survived by daughter, Laura Chadwick, son, Gary Lake, three grandchildren, Sheree (Daniel) Mills, Michael Chadwick, Corey (Sarah) Chadwick, two great grandchildren, Nickoles and Gabriel Chadwick, four sisters, Betty Harvath, Ella Mae (Chris) Toney, Bonnie (Clarence) Wilson, Rosemary (Don) McBrian, brother Russell (Rosezella) Lake, sister-in-law, Bonnie Lake and several nieces and nephews. \r
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 1:00pm at Hicks Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan. \r
