Jane Elizabeth Wait

Jane Elizabeth Wait of Hastings passed away on October 17, 2020 in Hastings, Michigan. She was born on June 11, 1935 in Hastings, Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Velma (Hamilton) Vandlen.  She graduated from Hastings High School. On July 21, 1953 she married Charles Wait, and they enjoyed 67 years together until his death.

Jane worked at Thornapple Manor, Tendercare, and Pennock Hospital.  She liked to crochet and do word search puzzles.  She enjoyed crime TV shows, bowling, and was a member of the Nashville Baptist Church.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Wait, and son James Wait.  She is survived by her daughters Julie Wait of Nashville and Cinda Johnson of Nashville and son Steve (Donna) Wait of Ixtapa, Mexico, granddaughters Krystal Wait (Chad Cogswell) and Trisha Johnson,  grandsons  Jamie Wait of Battle Creek, Lyndon (Monica) Johnson of Holland and Kyle Johnson of Nashville and many great grandchildren.  There will not be a service.
