Jason "Jay" Matthew Sayles

Jason Sayles, age 56, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born February 18, 1970 in Winsted, CT. Jason was the son of George and Sally (Aliano) Sayles. Jason moved to Michigan in 1989.

Jason was a family man with eight grandkids who kept him busy. Jason was a family man who loved getting everyone together to use his smoker for cookouts. He loved going to Yankee Springs for 2 tracking. He was a hard working man who worked as a machinist at Celeros Flow Technology for 20+ years. He loved watching Nascar and WWE. He enjoyed golf in his younger years before he started a long battle with cancer.

Jason is survived by his dad, George Sayles; sister, Beth Sayles; girlfriend (of 33 years), Lisa Evans; daughter, Kayla Evans; stepson, Andy (Sara) Rice; nephew, David and Savannah Sayles; nephew, Greg and Peggy Reynolds, and his eight grandkids, Braedyn Rice, Grace Trumbell, Reyd Zoerman, Zayda Rice, Rayn Evans, Deacon Rice, and Kobe Rice, Gabe Chavis; mother and father-in-law, Anita Cotton and Dave LaFond; sister-in-law, Tammy Cotton, Pam Cotton, Angie and Terry Keech, Patricia and Jerry Horne, Belinda Evans and many more family members.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held August 8, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at TVC in Hastings. Located at 2750 M-43 Hwy Hastings MI, 49058.
