Jean Louise Foreman

Jean Louise Foreman, age 52, of Nashville, formerly of Shepherd, passed away October 21, 2021. Jean was born in St. Joseph on January 23, 1969, the daughter of Douglas Hugh (Sr.) and Doris (Ward) Foreman. She attended Radford High School in Hawaii, where she was a member of the JROTC, then graduated from Webberville High School in 1987. She attended Olivet College, where she became a member of the Sigma Beta sorority in 1988 and earned a bachelor's degree in 1992. After college, she moved to Mt. Pleasant to help her dad and brother start Fleet Transportation and Equipment Repair. She also joined the U.S. Army Reserve, honorably serving for 8 years as a Motor Transport Operator and member of the 182nd Transportation Company of Traverse City, MI and earning the grade of Specialist. Later, she became a service writer for Chrysler in Mt. Pleasant. After moving to Nashville, she worked as a clerk for Barry County Lumber.

Jean enjoyed reading, boating, fishing and keeping in touch with her friends. She will be remembered for her ready smile, sense of humor and love of laugher.

Jean is survived by her children, Kyle Johnson of Shepherd, Nicholas Johnson of Alma and Jesse Johnson of Mt. Pleasant; siblings Janet (Philip) West of Eaton Rapids, Joanne Foreman of Hastings, Douglas (Julia) Foreman Jr., of Jackson and Tammy (Rob) Bennett of Elyria, OH; uncle Mike (Debbie) Foreman of South Lyon; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved Sigma sisters.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Keith Foreman Sr.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the American Legion Post 45 in Hastings.
