Jerry Dean Innes

July 4, 1936 — February 26, 2024

Jerry Dean Innes, age 87, passed away on February 26, 2024 with his family by his side. He was born July 4, 1936 in Decker, Michigan, the son of Donald and Clara (Fifield) Innes. In July of 1962, he married Judith Kay King and they enjoyed 61 years together raising their 2 sons. Over the years, he drove semi hauling a variety of things. He then started his own businesses Freeport Enterprise and Innes Truck and Trailer.

He retired in 1993 at which time he took on more projects and spent many hours in his woodworking shop where he loved spending time with his grandsons and teaching them how to fix things and work with their hands. Jerry also enjoyed hunting and fishing, traveling, trips to the casino, and most of all taking his family and friends out to eat.

With so many words that can be used to describe such a beloved man, a few that come to mind are intricacy, excellence, perfection, quality, craftsmanship and greatness. Jerry would give you the shirt off his back with money in his pockets, but would rather guide you to achieve and see you prosper for yourself.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, brother Tom (Kathy) Innes, sons Jeff (DeeDee) Innes, Rod (Amy) Innes, four grandsons, Zack (Jordan) Innes, Jeremy Innes, Bryce (Rose Barbour) Innes, and Dakota Innes (Peyton Lewis) and three great grandchildren, Breslin, Easton, and Everly Innes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dick, and sister, Joann.

According to Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Services provided by Girrbach Funeral Home. To leave online condolences visit www.girrbachfuneralhome.net .
