Jerry Otero

Jerry Otero, age 58 of Battle Creek, died Monday May 1, 2008 with his wife Kelli, as the result of an automobile accident. Jerry was born February 25, 1950 the son of Pedro and China Otero. He graduated from Olivet College in 1978. he served in the United States Army and was employed at the Federal Center in Battle Creek for 25 years until he retired in 2007. He was married May 5, 1984 to Kelli Ann McDermott. Jerry enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and reading. He was a hard working man and a person who made you laugh, he was a good husband and dad. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his daughter Jessica, his twin sons, Calvin and Daniel Otero of Battle Creek, a brother Anthony Otero of Florida, several aunts, uncles , cousins and many close friends. Memorial services will be held Monday May 5, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings, Pastor James M. Gysel officiating, friends can meet with the family one hour prior to service time. Arrangements are by the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings.
