Jessica Jo Smith-Chertos

Of Hastings, formally of Lakewood, died on April 10, 2022, in Grand Haven, Michigan at age 49. She was born on October 13, 1972, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1991. She worked at Bradford White Corporation in Middleville, Michigan. Jessica was a horror movie buff, enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, and spending time with friends and family. She loved to go to concerts and her favorite band was Def Leppard. She was a great friend and would do anything for anyone in need.

Jessica was preceded in death by her grandparents Arley and Wilda Todd Jr. She is survived by her father Robert (Sue) Smith of Grand Rapids, mother Vanessa (Norman) Nash of Freeport, husband Peter Chertos of Grand Haven, daughter Ashley (Christopher) Vanderlinde of Hastings, grandson McAllister Fluckiger, siblings Heather (Paul) Scobey, Brad (Chelsea) Smith, Aaron Broe, Amanda (Luc) Shiels, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life gathering, with food and drinks, at Union Hall UAW Local 1002 308 Washington Street, Middleville, Michigan 49333 on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
