John Michael Benedict

John Michael Benedict, age 35, of Hastings, died unexpectedly on April 18, 2019 in Wayland, Michigan. He was born in Hastings, Michigan on March 9, 1984, the son of Tina M. Richter and Tony Ray Benedict. He worked at Taco Bell and as a roofer. He attended Thornapple Valley Church. He loved football and was a Michigan State fan. He loved hanging out with his family and friends, especially at Gun Lake.

John was preceded in death by grandfather Lloyd Richter, Grandmother Brenda Alltop, uncle Frank Richter, and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by mother Tina of Hastings, Michigan, Father Tony of Elkhart, Indiana, children Jayden, Jordon, Jayvan, Jasmine, Parker Heath, and Gabe Benedict, fiancé, Alexa Spencer, brothers Anthony Benedict of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Joe Hayden of Hastings, Michigan, and Jacob Hayden of Kalamazoo, Michigan, sister Deseree McClelland of Hastings, Michigan, Jasmine Benedict of Elkhart, Indiana, and Natasha Stallings of New Hampshire, New England, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

John was a loving son, brother, father and was loved by many friends who were more like family.
