John Edward Strazisar
65, Hastings, Michigan. Amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away July 4, 2017 at Spectrum Butterworth hospital surrounded by his family.
John was born February 16, 1952 to Joseph and Mae (Bittecuffer) Strazisar in Akron, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Joan Ruffner, on July 3, 1982 on an island in Grand Ledge, MI. He graduated from Lakewood high school in 1970. He worked at Bradford White in Middleville for 44.4 years retiring October 2014. He owned John's Photography, he enjoyed taking wedding, senior and family photos. He was a reserve police officer for the city of Hastings for 10 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Joan. His children Jodie Ruffner (Rob Myers), Tammy (Scot) Belka, Elizabeth (Cory) Beard, Brian (Be' Ha') Strazisar and daughter-in-law Jenny Strazisar. Grandchildren Benjamin Ruffner, Levi (Brittney) Ruffner-Humm, Shayla Koben (Matt Maguire), Telyse and Kameron Belka, Skylar and Haylee Beard and Great granddaughter Shelby Ruffner-Humm. Siblings Rick (Peg) Strazisar, Susan Strazisar, Brad (Amy) Bucher, sister-in-law Maryann Oliveros and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons George Ruffner Jr, and Christopher Strazisar. Sister Kennie B Bucher and brother Jeffery Bucher.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, 6:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Girrbach Funeral Home 328 South Broadway, Hastings, Michigan 49058.
