Joseph Bill Mcwilliams

Joseph Bill McWilliams passed away on May 3, 2023 in Hastings, Michigan.

Joseph was born on May 22, 1936, in Missouri, the son of Aubrey and Lois (Lewis) McWilliams.

On October 20, 1957, Joseph married Marjorie Hamilton, and they enjoyed 64 years together until her passing in 2022.

Joseph worked as a buffer/polisher for McWilliams Brothers in Plainwell before working as a laborer at Bradford White in Middleville from where he retired after 30 years.

After retirement, Joseph loved spending time with family and friends around the campfire or playing in the lake with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing golf, traveling with his wife Marjorie, trips to the Casino, and riding quads through the deserts of Arizona or on the trails of Northern Michigan.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, his parents, brothers Aubrey Jr., Lowell (LD), Willy, James, John (Sonny), sister Linda DeGraw, and son-in-law Richard Mee.

He is survived by his daughter Teresa (Quinton Elliott) McWilliams-Elliott-Mee, grandchildren Jessie (Candy) Elliott, Stephanie (Joel) Norris, all of Hastings, Michigan, Great-Grandchildren Kinsey (Shane) Elliott-Madden of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Tracy (Duane) Huntley, Bailey (Jeffrey) Friend, Cole Arent, Ashley Norris, Adria Arent, Evona Norris, Colin Norris, Quinton Elliott, all of Hastings, Michigan, and several great-great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Patricia Taylor of Tennessee.
