Karrie Lynn Cross

Karrie Lynn Neil Cross passed away in the early mornings hours on June 2, 2025. She was born on September 3, 1967 to her beloved parents Sharon and Kenneth. She grew up in Hastings, attending Hastings High School and later on resided in Lake Odessa, Pontiac and Kalamazoo before returning back to Hastings in recent years. She loved getting to know her neighbors, and spending time with her family.

Karrie is preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Duits, brother Joshua Duits, maternal grandparents Jerry Frost and Dorothy Frost, and paternal grandparents H. Vern Neil and Lorraine Neil.

She is survived by her daughter Chasity (David) Barnum; Granddaughters: Kierstin Boulter, Adalyn Barnum, Alivia Barnum and Arley Barnum; Parents: Kenneth and Constance Neil; Stepfather: Rick Duits; Brothers; Chadwick Neil, Thomas "Clint" (Angela) Neil; Sister: Alexandria (James) Neil-Sevier and several nieces and nephews.

Karrie always felt it was important to give what you could to others, thus she donated her tissues to Gift of Life of Michigan upon her passing. In keeping with her family's wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
